ロシアのガールズパンクグループ「プッシー・ライオット」の逮捕事件を通して、アートと社会やメディアの問題を考える。『FREE PUSSY RIOT TOKYO』11/4開催
2009年にパフナイト「レズビアン・アクティビストから国際ジャーナリストへ～オリビア・真弓・モスの選んだ道～」でご一緒し、このブログでもシリーズ記事でご紹介したオリビア・真弓・モスさんが久しぶりに日本に来て、イベントをオルガナイズしているということで、下に貼った映像2つ+当日上映される映像の制作でお手伝いしています。ロシアのガールズバンドPussy Riotの逮捕事件をきっかけに、表現とメディアとの関係について考えるトークが行われたり、パフォーマンスが行われるイベントになるようです。ご案内します。

ロシアのガールズパンクグループPussy Riotの逮捕事件。遠い話のようですが、アートと社会やメディアの問題は世界共通です。この事件をたくさんの人に知って、考えてもらうためにアーティストサポートイベントを開催します。ひとつの事件から世界中に波及している自由な表現のエネルギーが東京にも届きますように！
経緯費を差し引いた利益は全てプッシーライオット弁護団へ寄付されます。また、皆様による寄付金も歓迎しております。

●Chim↑Pom（社会性の強い作品で世の中を湧かすアーティスト集団。世界的に活躍中。）
●田中 ロウマ（歌手、俳優。東宝製作「RENT」2012年版キャスト。今回の舞台ではエンジェル役を務める。）
●岡田裕子（現代美術家。この夏の個展「No Dress Code」ではインスタレーションを多数含む繊細でありながら主張の強い作品を披露。）
●毛利嘉孝（東京芸術大学准教授。アートや社会運動等の研究を行う。カルチュアル・スタディーズを日本へ紹介した第一人者。）
●アンドレイ・ボルト（アート雑誌GADABOUTの編集者。Chim↑Pomを含め、数々の新人アーティストの発掘をてがける。）
●小林香（演出家・作詞家。東宝で史上最年少かつ初の女性演出家となる。最近の作品には「DRAMATICA/ROMANTICA」シリーズや「アンダーグラウンドパレード」等がある。）
●鶴見済（作家。ベストセラー著書『完全自殺マニュアル』の社会の陰に対するきわめて客観的なアプローチは大きな反響を呼んだ。）

We are holding an event to support the remaining jailed members of Pussy Riot NADYA and MASHA and all artists who have a voice!! Come and join us in central Tokyo with artists from Japan and beyond, to celebrate freedom of expression, cool music and to appeal for justice!!! The two women have now been sent to remote penal colonies and are currently in quarantine with no access to anybody. TOKYO says FREE PUSSY RIOT!!!

●HIROKO OKADA : Contemporary artist who delicately captured the restrictions and freedoms of Japanese women in her latest Tokyo exhibition "No Dress Code"
●YOSHITAKA MORI : Professor of art and sociology at Tokyo University of the Arts, and pioneer of cultural studies in Japan
●WATARU TSURUMI : Author of one of the most unique bestselling books ever published "The Complete Manual of Suicides" – a completely objective analysis of suicide methods

With reporting teams in the UK and Japan, this project is run by artists for artists, focused on injecting passion and ethics back into the media industry.
We have been campaigning together with international artists to free PUSSY RIOT and held a successful FREE PUSSY RIOT LONDON fundraiser concert in London, UK on 9 Sept 2012.
